Ingenious Soul is the expression of a philosophy — made to be considered, restrained, and built to last. Nothing unnecessary remains. It starts with a way of feeling, not a way of restoring.

The Standard

A feeling only matters if it survives contact with something real. Before restoration begins, five questions get answered honestly.

Does this deserve to exist?

Would we still be proud of this in ten years?

Does it reflect craftsmanship?

Does it simplify rather than complicate?

Would someone feel this was made with care?

If the answer is no, it doesn't get restored.

This is applied to restoration, by hand. Whatever the machine, the standard doesn't change.

The Practice

Some things already exist but no longer feel right. The practice is restoration — applying the standard until it feels like itself again.
